Boomm is Iceland’s pop art fashion marketplace — a place for people across Iceland to buy and sell second-hand clothing directly with each other. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using Boomm, whether you’re just browsing, buying, or selling. By using the site, you’re agreeing to these Terms, so please take a few minutes to read through them.
To use Boomm as a buyer or seller, you need to meet a few basic requirements:
Anyone can browse Boomm freely — no account needed. To actually purchase an item, though, you’ll need to create a buyer account. We don’t offer guest checkout, mainly because it helps keep the community accountable and makes it easier to resolve issues if something goes wrong.
Boomm is a peer-to-peer marketplace, not a Boomm-operated store. Every item is listed, described, and sold by an individual seller, and it’s the seller’s responsibility to describe their items accurately. Because most items on Boomm are secondhand, there’s generally no formal returns policy the way you’d see with a traditional retailer — we’d strongly encourage you to look closely at listing photos and condition notes, and to message the seller directly with any questions before you buy.
If something does go wrong with an order — the item doesn’t match its description, it never arrives, or anything else feels off — you can raise it through the in-app “Report Issue” flow and our team will help sort it out.
Listing on Boomm is free. When one of your items sells, Boomm deducts a 10% platform fee from your payout — that’s the only fee we charge sellers.
To keep the marketplace trustworthy, seller accounts require admin approval before you can start listing, and each individual listing also goes through admin approval before it goes live on the site. As a seller, you’re responsible for describing and pricing your items accurately, and for shipping sold items promptly once an order comes in. Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect, paid out directly to your bank account.
To keep Boomm safe and legal for everyone, the following items may never be listed or sold on the platform:
Boomm reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these rules, and to suspend or ban accounts that repeatedly break them.
All prices and payments on Boomm are in Icelandic Króna (ISK) — we don’t support any other currency. Payments are processed securely via Stripe, and Boomm never stores your full card details.
Boomm charges sellers a 10% platform fee on every completed sale, deducted automatically from the seller’s payout at the time of sale. Buyers are never charged any fee beyond the listed price of the item and any shipping cost the seller has set.
The Boomm name, logo, and pop art brand identity are owned by Boomm ehf. and may not be used without permission. Sellers retain full ownership of their own listing photos and content, but by posting a listing, you grant Boomm a license to display that content on the platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the marketplace.
Boomm is a platform that connects independent buyers and sellers — we are not a party to the transactions that happen between them. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boomm is not liable for the condition, legality, or delivery of items sold by individual sellers on the platform.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising from your use of Boomm will be handled under Icelandic jurisdiction.
